Therapy is for Everyone
That means you, too.
We are all deserving of a space to process our experience of living. What you are feeling matters, and I would like to partner with you to create more peace and laughter in your life. My process is non-judgmental and holistic. I will honor who you are and what values you hold closely as we explore what changes you are ready to make.
About Me
I’m a licensed clinical social worker who has been providing psychotherapy since 2010. Prior to establishing my private practice, I worked in a number of schools, clinics and hospitals throughout New York City. As a seasoned clinician, I have deep respect and empathy for the experience of others. My practice honors intersectional identities and promotes sex positivity. I’ve worked especially close with individuals from LGB, Queer, TG/GNC/NB, Black and Latinx communities over the years. I identify as a queer, white, cisgender woman.
I specialize in the treatment of mood disorders, trauma, grief, ADHD, and family conflict. My lived experience complements my professional experience, making me uniquely qualified to provide the empathic, trauma-informed care you are seeking.

I’m honored and humbled to join folks as they explore their fears, process old hurts, and begin to create new avenues for joy in their lives.

Therapy with me is collaborative, compassionate, and real. You can expect a balance of depth and practicality, humor and honesty, warmth and accountability. I practice from a psychodynamic, trauma-informed lens.
My Approach
Grounded Expertise
I bring both clinical skills and real-world understanding to this process. Engaging in therapy is a radical act of self-love and demonstrates your commitment to heal, maintain, or deepen your connection with yourself, and in turn, with others. I integrate ongoing training and research into every session so your care is always evidence-based and current.
Curiosity and Acceptance
Therapy is a deeply personal experience, and all parts of you need to feel safe in order to show up authentically. I approach each person’s story with respect, cultural humility, and curiosity. Our feelings, behaviors and bodily sensations have a lot to tell us about what we need. The more we listen, the more we understand.
Collaborative Growth
Therapy is a dynamic process and we will take time building our relationship. I believe in mutual trust, open dialogue, and accountability. Together, we’ll explore what’s working, what isn’t, and how to move toward something steadier and more fulfilling. Change is hard; so we will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Individual Therapy for Adults and Adolescents
I hope to create a space where you can feel safe, vulnerable and brave. I tailor my interventions for each client while integrating components of CBT, DBT, and mindfulness. I also use a psychodynamic lens to conceptualize patterns of behaviors. Please do not worry if you are unfamiliar with these terms and modalities. I am not here to treat you like a diagnosis; I am here to treat you like a unique individual with a broad range of thoughts, feelings, and experiences.

Clinical Supervision
I love providing clinical supervision and case consultation to other clinicians practicing psychotherapy. I’ve been providing clinical supervision since 2016 and find this work very rewarding. Please reach out if you’re interested in a consultation to hear more about my supervision style and how I can support your practice.

Family Therapy
Families are some of my favorite groups with whom to work! With compassionate and thoughtful restructuring techniques, your family can practice better boundaries, improve conflict resolution skills and increase communication/understanding. I draw heavily from Structural Family Therapy in my interventions.
My Fees
Therapy is an investment. My rate reflects not only the time we spend together, but also the reflection, study, and care I bring to each session. Questions about fees or accessibility can be discussed during consultation.

FAQs

I am offering all sessions via secure video platform (Zoom). Telehealth has proven to be an effective method for mental health treatment; it has increased access and convenience for clients.
-
This phone call is not an evaluation, rather, an informal conversation to learn more about your past experience in therapy (if any), what you are seeking help for right now, and what you are looking for in treatment. This is also an opportunity to ask questions about my style as a therapist. A lot more will unfold and be determined as we work together, but this phone call is essentially an initial “vibe check”.

To foster trust and build a strong working relationship, I request that clients commit to weekly sessions for the initial three months. This approach allows me to stay informed about your progress and helps us effectively work towards your goals. A reduction in session frequency to biweekly or monthly typically signifies readiness to conclude the treatment process. We can discuss this in more detail during our consultation or at any point throughout your treatment.

I am not in-network with any insurance plans, thus I am a private pay or Out-of-Network provider.
Many people have insurance plans that include out-of-network benefits. This benefit coverage may reimburse you for some or all of your session fee. I can provide you with monthly superbills to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. I recommend calling your insurance provider to ask the following questions:
Does my insurance plan offer out-of-network benefits that cover mental health/behavioral health? Does that include telehealth?
What, if any, is my out-of-network deductible? Has my deductible been met by other expenses?
How much will my out-of-network benefits cover for psychotherapy sessions (code 90837 for individual or 90847 for family) with an out-of-network LCSW in zip code 10607?
How do I submit claims for reimbursement for my psychotherapy sessions?
